Chemical Cleaning

Chemical cleaning is the method by which unwanted contaminated, deposits scale and sludge are broken down through the introduction of chemicals and their reaction for the purpose of dissolution. Often chemical cleaning can reduce cleaning time by as much as 90%, producing less waste and able to be used across a variety of applications including pipelines, heat exchangers, compressor systems, desalters, crude and vacuum units, aromatic units, condensers and struvite cleans (WWTP). Cleans areas of plant and assets otherwise inaccessible by other methods.

Our Process removes hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and pyrophoric from confined spaces, making vessels and towers available for a safer entry.

Acids we clean with:

SULFAMIC ACID

Boiler and cooling systems and their associated heat exchanger equipment. When properly inhibited, used to clean carbon steel, copper, admiralty brass, and without chlorides, austenitic stainless steels. Not recommended for aluminum, zinc, cast iron, or 410 stainless steel. Best when used on calcium carbonate.

NITRIC ACID

Is oxidizing in character, whereas hydrochloric is reducing in character. Nitric acid tends to promote and preserve the corrosion-resistant qualities of stainless steel. It does not destroy the microscopically thin oxide surface film that will give the stainless steel its corrosion resistance.

HYDROCHLORIC ACID

It accomplishes the descaling by reducing the oxides of which the scale is comprised of.

Chemical Scrubbing

Chemical scrubbing is a gas scrubbing method in which contaminants are removed from the gas stream. During this process, the gas stream passes through a packed structure with a large wet surface area. The wet area enables contact between the gas and the scrubbing chemicals and allows for the removal of contaminants from the gas stream.
